Required Skills:

  • Provide Solution Architecture guidance to support the technical and conceptual design of the project/product
  • Leverage architecture standards, architecture patterns, reference architectures to design the solution and meet the overall technical and functional requirements
  • Drive cloud application design, engineering,  deployment and support.
  • Work in a cross-functional team alongside Cloud engineers, Data Analysts/Modellers,  DevOps and QA engineers
  • Validate solution architectures regarding their adequacy and adherence to architecture standards throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies
  • Communicate various aspects of the solution architecture to client stakeholder groups
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving cloud technologies and development best-practices including open source software.
  • Oversee coding standards and best practices for Cloud
  • Mentor colleagues within the team
  • Work in an Agile Environment

Other Skills

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years in the SW Engineering industry with proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in SQL Writing
  • Minimum of 3 years of extensive working knowledge in AWS building scalable solutions
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in technologies like Databricks, HDFS, Redshift, Hadoop , Elastic MapReduce on AWS, Apache Spark, Hive/Impala and HDFS, NoSQL databases
  • Experience in Datawarehouse or Data Lake Projects will be a key value add
  • Experience in Graph Databases like Neo4j is a good to have
  • Deep knowledge of Security requirements for Cloud environments and applications as we deal with highly secure and private data sets
  • Familiar with tools like Git , Code Commit , Jenkins , Code Pipeline
  • Familiar with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to drive automation at all levels from testing to deployment.
  • Capable of navigating technical and functional ambiguity and making progress with under-defined requirements
  • Experience refactoring code with high-availability, scale and production in mind
